The good, the bad, and the goal.

At the start of this year, I started using weekly organizers to help plan my time.I jotted everything I needed to do, to remind myself of my appointments and commitments. In the past, I tried to do be organized by using a planner to plan my time. However, this decision of mine to plan my time will come to a halt after I get lazy or misplace my planner. For the whole of this year, I’ve been using a really adorable planner, with the number ’11′ at the front and ’20′ on the back, signifying the year 2011, from kikki.K.

I bought the year 2011 planner at $24.90 at the end of last year. It also came with a little address book which I don’t really fancy. This address book allows you to arrange the name of the addressees in alphabetical order, however, you can’t add in more sections under a particular letter once you’ve ran out of spaces since the book is binded together, unlike my planner for 2012.

My new planner for next year is reusable, in the sense that I can reuse the cover and replace the inserts with new ones for 2013 and subsequent years.

There’s also some card pockets on the interior of the planner.

The space is a little small to write, yes, but I think I just have to deal with it.

Oh, and the planner comes with a little notepad at the back! And the notepad is pink, and the planner is also pink, how can I not fall in love with it at first sight when I saw it on the kikki.K e-store?!

Okay mad ravings about this planner aside, the good thing I did this year with this planner (the 2011 one) is that I made really good use of the planner, thus not letting my 25 bucks go to waste. I also intend to make full use of the super adorable new planner!

The bad? Sometimes I’ll forget to write them down on the planner beforehand so I’ll try to pen them down when I get to. At times, I’ll only get to be able to do that after a few days, so I tend to forget the date or time or what to do.

Last but not least, the goal. Now that my time is more organized, I hope that my room will start to remain organized too~

Lesson learnt

As mentioned in the first #whativedonein2011 entry, I’ve lost a lot of weight this year.

This major weight lost made me realize that it’s not a really good thing, cause my denims are all really loose right now. Who knew I’d actually be so into the whole exercising and losing weight (or rather, mass) thing. And as a result, I need new denims which I’ve been lamenting for on and on for months. Till now, I’ve still not got any new denims yet, just mid-waist shorts :| Lesson learnt: don’t lose weight/mass if you will take a long time to get new shorts/pants.

Lesson learnt #2: don’t eat whatever your dad gives to you. I trusted him so much with my food that I spent my entire life consuming beef without knowing. But I think the iced wine we had in Colmar, France. I still think he really should’ve brought a bottle of it home. And the bottle doesn’t break easily, he could’ve just dumped it into his luggage or something.

This can be the third #whativedonein2011 entry, can’t it?

I just realised I haven’t watched a single episode of Psych season 6 yet WTF. But I still have the first 3 seasons to cover and 9 seasons of Two and a Half Men. Shall start with tuition homework.

I found myself hating her for 5 years, thinking that she’s the reason for all that happened in the past and in the present, probably in the future as well.

Someone said that I’m already slowly warming up to her because I helped pick a gift for her. How true is this? I spent 5 years blaming her for everything, for how we’ve turned out. Is it really possible that I’m really warming up to her existence?

Maybe it was because of the false alarm, or maybe it’s time to accept the fact. Am I old enough to handle the truth I’ve always known?

Wee Nee, Charmaine, Shi Mei, Xinyu and Caleb, you guys should know who or what I’m talking about!

Day 2 of the challenge. Here it goes:

A wrong decision I made this year is probably jumping into a relationship I wasn’t confident of. Okay, maybe it wasn’t a wrong decision but it was, I have to say, a bad one made. The only good part of the relationship was helping myself realize what I want better. Thank God it’s over now, glad I ended it before things get worse. I think I chose pride over trying to make things work. Sometimes pride really is more important, especially if the person isn’t worth it. And if the person isn’t worth it, it’s not love, a moment of impulse, I suppose. (1 Corinthians 13:4-7)

One of the good decisions I made this year. Attending church as much as I could. I have to admit I missed quite a lot of sessions but I really did try to force myself out of bed albeit being tired, though the attempt failed quite a few times :| Ever since going back to church last year in July, I’ve been turning to Daddy Jesus more and more often, whenever I’m down, whenever I’m happy, whenever I need help, whenever there’s something to thank Him for. God has played a really huge part in my life this year, and He will continue being a great part of me for He will always be there.

Ben wants me to say that besides mentioning that I played a lot of MD with them, I’ve also been whatsapping him a lot. Also acknowledged the fact that he’s attention-seeking LOL.

Ben, Tim, YC, Carnation and I make up the HIMYM clique, we realised! Guess our characters :P

I’m mad in love with the asymmetrical skirts from Supré!! But shipping is so expensive ): Also, I can’t seem to find nice asymmetrical skirts on the F21 website.

So, the title says it all, this blog post is about what I’ve done in 2011, both good and bad. I’m supposed to blog about this hashtag (#whativedonein2011) everyday until the 31st December 2011.

This is a challenge given by Shi Mei to me, Andrea, Caleb and Sylvester. I’m not sure who else are asked to do this but I’ve accepted the challenge ^^

I think I’m supposed to talk about one good and one bad thing I did. We’ll start of with the good one, shall we?

I started attending Guides’ meetings and activities more regularly than the past two years. My attendance, as most people know, had been really poor when I was in lower secondary. I’m really proud of this improvement :D

The bad thing… I did not give up exercising. Well, I did stop during the exams period until now (not as frequent) but that is not giving up. I’ve not been feeling well ever since I got back (*cough* late *cough*) from Europe so I’ll probably resume next week. Why is not giving up exercising bad? I’m underweight (that is if my weighing scale is accurate) and I get hungry at night. By not giving up exercise, I gave up late night suppers. Then again, it’s all for better health, and maybe a little bit of vanity, so I guess it’s not such a bad thing either? On the bright side, I put on weight in Europe! Albeit not a lot, at least I’m not 38-39kg anymore. I’m quite hungry while typing this.

I can’t really remember what I want to type next…

Ever since I’m back from Europe, I’ve been sleeping only during the wee hours. This is what you get when your new friends are nocturnal… Definitely not because I’m jet lagged. I miss our nightly MD games till late. We’ll be talking so loudly like no one’s around in the hotel lobby. Will blog about the trip soon!

I’m done packing, for now. I don’t know if I’ve left anything out, but I hope not.

I still can’t believe Drew is off X Factor. Her song choice for survival round was really appropriate. Marcus was really good too.

America really doesn’t know how to vote. Nicole and Paula are always showing fake emotions on the show. I’m so fucking pissed at them. Drew’s survival song shouts out ‘save me’ more than Marcus’.

Steve Jones just had to rub it in in Drew’s face by saying one of the remaining contestants will win the $5mil recording contract in front of her?! I hope the host and Nicole gets fired from the show.

Just talked to Bryan about his trip to Europe! I think he just got back yesterday or something. He said it’s not easy to find nice food in Paris and that there are a lot of pickpockets, sigh… But he said that there should be wifi in most of the hotels.

Holiday day 1

Today marks the start of the holidays for most Sec 3s in Dunearn. However, albeit the holidays, we are still overwhelmed with homework (written and online, sigh.). Tuitions during the holidays are the icing to the dreaded ‘presents’ from our teachers.

The holidays also start off with me still being sick. What a downer. For me, that is. I’m having a terrible runny nose now. First the sore throat, followed by spending by days mute. Now? Flu. Maybe that’s what I get for not going to church for three weeks (or was it four?). Either that or my poor sleeping and eating habits recently.

There are definitely things about school that I’ll miss during the holidays. First of all, my friends. I don’t know what would I do in school without them. And by friends, I do mean Gracelin’s ‘friend’ as well. LOL. One of the many entertainments during Biology lessons.

A couple of hours ago, Daddy sent me a text that said our Europe trip is confirmed! Yay! I’m doing up a packing list right now cause I’m such a klutz. I’m so muddle-headed, I’ll definitely miss out important things if I don’t have a check-list. Hopefully my 22″ will fit all my necessities, and unnecessary useless things. But since Daddy will be bringing his 29″, I can just throw some stuffs into his luggage when we come back. I doubt he’ll bring a lot of things. I’m sure he’ll nag at me for bringing useless things though. Ah, who cares.

The one thing I’m most excited about this trip is the food, especially macarons, I guess. I think Daddy said I can bring my laptop because I texted him this: Can I bring my laptop? Please say yes. Genius.

I’m leaving only in two weeks’ time but I’m already so psyched! Bryan Er is probably leaving for Europe at this moment. When asked where did the Opal students go (cause only Syaza and I were present during Geography), I told people he went home to pack his luggage LOL. For all we know, it could be true.

My entire post got mysteriously erased and I’m too lazy to retype everything. I can’t even remember when I’ve typed. I know it’s related to Gossip Girl, school, movies and the title itself.
